Cabarrus Detention Release Paths

It appears in the Union facility map for one specific reason: Union County documented an interlocal arrangement for overflow housing. A Union detainee moved from Presson Road to Cabarrus remains confined unless Cabarrus or another responsible agency records a later community release.

A release from Cabarrus may send the person to the community, back to Union, to state prison after judgment, or to another custodian with lawful authority. The Cabarrus record should identify its own movement. Union’s booking and court file explain why the person entered the cross-county path. Read the records in time order instead of treating the first roster disappearance as the final outcome.

Confirm a Cabarrus Release

Start with the last confirmed Union event. Search the official Union P2C inquiry for the named booking and record the arrest date, booking agency, and any available detail. If the person vanished from the current list, ask Union whether the recorded movement was a transfer to Cabarrus. Do not use the absence itself as proof.

1. Identify the Union booking with name, date, and any booking or incident number.

Cabarrus Overflow Service Scope

Union County’s December 2025 agenda described housing ten Union detainees in Cabarrus at $70 per person per day, plus stated expenses. It referred to a prior approval dated March 18, 2024. Those are sourced terms of the described arrangement. They are not proof that the agreement covers every Union detainee or remains unchanged for every future date.

Verify that the arrangement was active on the event date and that the named person was actually accepted by Cabarrus. Capacity planning can change. A transfer log or other existing movement record is stronger evidence than a general interlocal agreement. The agreement explains why a search must cross county lines, but it does not reveal one person’s status.

Join Two County Release Records

The originating record and the final custody record serve different roles. Union can document the initial booking, court link, and movement away from Presson Road. Cabarrus can document intake into its detention center and the later release or transfer from that facility. If there is a gap between timestamps, ask each agency about only the event it recorded.

The Union County court case remains useful. It may show the bond order, disposition, judgment, credit, or other legal basis that affected custody. Yet the court order is not the physical exit time. Missing Cabarrus Release Results

No online result is conclusive by itself. A miss may come from spelling, identity data, a transfer not yet reflected, a record that aged out of a live system, or an inquiry made in the wrong county. Search with the exact legal name and compare dates. Then contact both detention offices.
